Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty involves the placement of dermal fillers into the nose. The goal is to obtain an aesthetically pleasing nose by using injectable dermal fillers underneath the skin to contour the nose whether making it bigger, taller, wider, narrower, or longer on a temporary basis.
This technique provides very natural and subtle results when correcting minor cosmetic nasal imperfections. During treatment, soft-tissue dermal filler injections are used to fill indentations and give the nose a fuller, straighter look.
The dermal fillers utilized in non-surgical rhinoplasty are usually hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that bonds with water molecules to create instant volume in the skin.
What can non-surgical rhinoplasty achieve?
Dermal fillers are normally used for facial wrinkles and/or augmentation. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty temporarily restores beauty in the following manner:
- Yields symmetry
- Defines nasal bridge
- Augments dorsum
- Tips refinement
- Masks nasal hum
- Improves dents
- Well-proportions nose to the face
Am I a good candidate?
Non-surgical rhinoplasty (also called liquid rhinoplasty or a non-surgical nose job) is a minimally invasive procedure, making it ideal for patients who would prefer to avoid going under the knife. With non-surgical rhinoplasty, there are no incisions or stitches required.
People with an unwanted nasal hump, asymmetries, or tip/bridge-related aesthetic issues often opt for this procedure. It is an excellent option for patients who want quick rhinoplasty results without any required downtime or recovery time.
The treatment process
In comparison to surgical rhinoplasty, liquid rhinoplasty is a much more straightforward and simple process. The procedure usually takes less than thirty minutes to complete.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is performed by first numbing the area with topical cream, making the treatment painless and comfortable. Injections of the chosen filler are then performed on key regions of the nose to enhance its appearance.
What is the downtime?
There is no downtime following a nonsurgical rhinoplasty and the results are seen within days. In contrast, nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) usually produces swelling that takes weeks to diminish and the full results of a surgical nose job may not be apparent for up to a year due to residual swelling. The technique used in our office can last up to 12 months or longer in some patients. We recommend touch up as the filler starts to wear off and nonsurgical rhinoplasty is a great “test drive” before you commit to surgery.
